Category Managers at Amazon are responsible of overall category growth, customer experience & drive long term category strategy. Category managers anticipate customer needs and incorporate them into the functional roadmap and will drive major enhancement for customer experience influencing category needs based on their knowledge of competitive trends in the marketplace and other macro environment data.

The successful candidate will be the business owner and will be responsible for driving long term change through critical interventions, projects & programs in domains of selection, customer experience, delivery experience & end to end Customer journey . He/she must be an effective leader and communicator working with our most important partners, as well as with internal colleagues and groups. He or she will have strong business judgment with a track record of strong ownership values and relationship management skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical business workstreams impacting long term category strategy.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications
An understanding of and passion for e-commerce.
· Work experience is preferred (3 - 5 years).
· Experience in Business, Category management, Program Management, Selling or Buying
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proven influencing abilities
· Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
· Proven experience leading cross-functional projects
· Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
· Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
· Detail-oriented
· Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools
· Smart, enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative.
· Innovative, team oriented, and have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
· Experience in project ownership and using customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities.
The position will be based in Amazon’s office in Bangalore.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree is preferred
[Experience in Consumer-facing sectors such as Retail, FMCG is preferred]
Total Work experience of 5+ years in retail, program management, category management
Knowledge of SQL, high proficiency in excel, excellent verbal & written communication skills
