Qualcomm has one of the largest engineering ecosystems in India working on a very broad range of products ranging from smartphones, networking products, automotive, small cells and wearables. Qualcomm India is a center of excellence for end-to-end product engineering starting from chipset design all the way to commercialization.
Qualcomm Research India has a substantial presence in Bangalore where we strive to solve forward looking, hard problems in the domains covering virtual reality, computer vision, advanced camera RnD, 5G design and standardization and systems engineering for 3G/4G modems and ISPs. We collaborate with Qualcomm Research worldwide to create breakthrough technologies, paving way to new business opportunities for the company. The group consists of researchers with advanced degrees from leading Universities in the US and in India.
Qualcomm Research India is hiring, and we are scouting for the best talent in the country to join us.
Overview
Qualcomm is taking its traditional strengths in digital wireless technologies into exciting new fields such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). Come, join the team that helped Qualcomm win Innovative VR Company of the Year at AIXR’s 4th Annual VR Awards.
The XR Systems R&D team investigates and develops algorithms to realize seamless immersive experiences on AR glasses and VR HMDs. Tight thermal and power budgets on these devices may mandate that the compute for the experience be partially offloaded to a server or companion device, in turn imposing latency and wireless connectivity related challenges. We are growing our team to push the boundaries of rendering, streaming and display of immersive multimedia content on such devices.
