Roles & Responsibilities

  • Have a deep knowledge/understanding on the functionalities available in BER platform

  • Deep understanding on Azure services (mainly on the Data & Analytics) and web technologies.

  • Engagement with Business Partners & Stakeholders

  • Manage the contracts & budget/commercials for BER platform

  • Prioritise work items for the team based on business requirements & effort/cost value

  • Closely monitor the Azure Infrastructure costs & keep reviewing/tracking the Azure resource usage

  • Identify and propose new solutions and improvements to the BER Platform applications, based on the requirements from key stakeholders.

  • Azure DevOps management and conduct weekly/daily calls with the team to review & prioritize the work items.

  • Identify areas within the supporting BER technologies that are not working as expected or can be improved to better assist the reporting process, to key stakeholders and helping drive delivery through the implementation of agreed Changes.

  • Own the process for issue resolution, ensuring that the queue is monitored, and SLAs are achieved.

  • Supporting the development team, providing expertise when required.

Required skills and qualifications

  • ~8 years of experience in Database management and very strong Azure SQL Database Skills.

  • Strong knowledge in data modelling concepts

  • Strong knowledge in writing SQL queries & stored procedures

  • Ability to set up, configure, administer, and support end-to-end hosting solutions in an Azure PaaS (serverless) environment

  • Expertise in ETL designing and maintaining Azure Data Factory pipelines to integrate with source and destination systems

  • Experience in showing Proof of Concepts and understanding business requirements

  • Ability to talk to all levels of technical ability

  • Curiosity and drive to continuously improve and learn.

  • Eager to learn new technologies

  • Solid critical-thinking and decision-making skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience of Agile project delivery

  • Ability to collaborate with and lead colleagues

  • Excellent Stakeholder Management skills.

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • Experience of web application development (Angular 12, HTML5)

  • Excellent data visualization skills (Good to have)

  • Experience using Power BI front end reporting (Good to have)

  • Strong knowledge in DAX & M query (Good to have)
