Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in a partnerships role.
- Experience influencing management internally and externally.
- Experience in managing partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with legal documents and working with attorneys on specific agreement language.
- Experience working with large strategic private and public sector partners.
- Experience working in internet ecosystems, and knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
- Ability to serve as an advocate for our partners internally and work collaboratively in complex team structures to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid, and collaborative environment with a good nose for identifying game changing partnership opportunities.
- Excellent communication and project management skills with outstanding attention to detail.

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.
The Search, Geo, Commerce, and Ads (SGCA) team helps Google build products by leading our engagement with a wide range of external partners. We enable products by discussing and managing content partnerships and actions integrations. These partnerships help build and elevate Google’s products in several areas, including, Search, Assistant, Geo, Research, Machine Intelligence, Commerce, and Ads.
Responsibilities
- Drive the market and partner engagement strategy and execution for initiatives for the market, including the development of go-to-market plans in collaboration with the Project Management team and key internal stakeholders.
- Develop, discuss, and execute agreements with partners in a fast-changing business setting.
- Maintain relationships with partners.
- Provide guidance/direction to global counterparts and teams that are focused on scaled outreach.
