Sr Program Manager, Sub Same Day delivery

The vision for the Sub-Same Day program (SSD) is to be able to offer customers relevant selection of products that makes Amazon the most convenient destination to shop when customers need a product “right now” or “at a specific time”. IN SSD assorts products where ‘delivery in hours’ makes a material difference to customer’s purchasing decisions and localizes selection choices to offer customers a real, superior alternative to their best alternate superstore or any other online ultrafast options. This program is a key component of Amazon IN’s strategy to drive speed perception (by offering 0-day glance view speeds) for the customer, differentiating from key online and offline ICs. In 2021, IN SSD will leverage a combination of Amazon’s own Ultra-fast Fulfillment Centers (UF-FCs), nodes in partner retailers and selection from local retailers to expand both selection and geographic reach.


Key job responsibilities

• The Sr Program Manager, Sub-Same Day, is responsible for managing a series of initiatives that drive scalability of the program in 2022 and beyond.
• These initiatives include design, pilots and scale-up of alternate operating / fulfillment models for SSD and launch of retail tools for the SSD platform (from buying to forward deployment and in partnership with WW and IN stakeholders.
• The ideal candidate demonstrates strong influence without authority, deep dive skills and willingness to invest in building partnerships with stakeholder teams.
• The Sr Program Manager would be responsible for setting up and running mechanisms to meet high bar in customer experience and operational efficiency for hyperlocal delivery network

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in program or project management
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
• 5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
• 5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects

• 5+ years experience running cross functional programs
• MBA degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A successful track record in the e-commerce industry / offline retail / management consulting / retail supply chain is preferred
