OT Nurses

• Caring of patients in OT until the patient is shifted to recovery area.
• Assessment of patients and maintenance of records.
• Observe, record, and report to physician the patient's condition or injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to drugs and treatment.
• Preparation of patients for Medical/surgical procedures.
• Coordinate work with other medical team members when required.
• OT nurse may scrub/Circulate in operative procedures, alone or with associate nurse to teach and guide.
• To Perform Time out and sign Out in OT in order to maintain surgical safety.
• In times of crisis the OT nurse may participate in life-saving actions such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation.
• Implementation of hospital's /nursing vision & philosophy.
