• Responsible for day wise special assignments and completes them accurately and timely and any discrepancies are reported to the senior immediately.
• Check the communication book for any new instructions during every shift.
• Check the census of the department.
• Takeover of all patients as per the guidelines mentioned in the handing over and taking over protocol.
• Post all IP issues and bedside procedures.
• Complete all relevant documents.
• Check the patients records for any changes, special orders etc.
• Inform any events during the shift to the nursing head.
• Prepare the patients for surgeries / procedures.
• Ensure change rooms are clean with enough supply of scrub suits / caps / masks for the day.
• Take inventory of the OT as assigned.
• To inspect the OT equipment lights, scrub room, dressing trolleys, scrubs stand solution etc.
• The surgical kit pre / post-op should be checked.
• Facilitates smooth transfers from the recovery area as per the protocols and doctors advice.
• Liaise with CSSD in advance for the booked cases for the following day.
