Mechanical Project Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities: The mechanical project engineers' responsibilities include coordinating different production teams, designing and developing engineering systems and quality assurance tests, and building prototypes. You should be able to maintain relationships with clients, vendors, as well as staff.

• A project Engineer Should have Experience in Turnkey Project Management in Mechanical Projects (such as Oil and gas etc)
• Installation commissioning, Fabrication, procurement, coordination with Vendor.
• Provides technical support for installation and commissioning activities.
• Vendor development
• Take quotations from vendors and make a comparative statement.
• Study 2D, and 3D drawings and understand BOQ for procurement purposes.
• Set Project deadlines and follow up with vendors and suppliers to get the work done in time.
• Analyzing project specifications, developing work schedules, and delegating tasks to different teams.
• Completing blueprint designs using CAD software and making appropriate adjustments once the client and other engineers have seen them.
• Ensuring that all engineering and manufacturing processes are in keeping with the health and safety regulations of the state and the country.
• Supervising staff and manufacturing processes and making appropriate recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborating with other engineers and technical personnel to develop instructional and training manuals where required.
• Conducting research on field developments and networking with other engineers and professionals.
• Liaising with clients and writing up reports to present to shareholders and other relevant parties.
• Ensuring that each project stays within the allocated budget and timeframe.
• Scheduling meetings and training sessions when necessary.
• Ensuring that staff remains motivated by implementing feasible incentives and regular team-building sessions.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous project management experience is recommended.
• A relevant license and certification may be required.
• Several years of experience working in the engineering field.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• The ability to motivate staff.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime if required.
