Job Description:

Lead – HR Compliance is responsible for leading HR Compliance activities in ensuring Statutory Compliance through coordination with Branches, HR Ops and FMG team.

  • Liasoning with required statutory authorities or as directed
  • Responding to various Notices from Authorities ensuring closure on the gaps
  • Audit of PF and other vendors on Statutory Compliance.

This role is responsible for checking ABFRL operations and HR transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules. Maintain all the employee’s statutory compliance data for future audit purposes.

The individual will work with Human Resources within the Company and third party service providers related to the following:

  • Employees Provident fund
  • Employee State Insurance Corporation
  • Employee compensation
  • Professional Tax
  • Labour Welfare Fund


KEY RESULT AREAS:

Compliance Strategy and Execution

  • Guide, strategize and execute policies and schemes to satisfy compliance demands
  • Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
  • Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed
  • Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
  • Responsible for statutory laws affecting Indian Payroll viz. PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Minimum Wages, Shop Act etc.
  • Collaborate and monitor enforcement of standards and regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate possible HR compliance risks
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practice in compliance control


Employee Benefits Communication

  • Drafting communication plan to share the benefits of employees
  • Updating the recent amendments in terms of employee benefits and sharing with employees
  • Communicating with HR function leaders (CHRO, VP of HR, etc) to keep other executives up to speed on potential HR compliance risks and recommended remediation.


Provident Fund

  • Managing the records of New Joiners profile creation and PF member ID allocation, Monthly challan payments
  • Verifying all statutory compliance related documents of new joinees and ensuring timely submission. Creation of new joinees profile on PF and ESIC portal and updating mandatory KYC before remittance


Professional Tax (PT)

  • Handling PAN India stores PT and LWF compliance and ensuring timely registration for all applicable stores, filling monthly and periodical returns and remittance. Coordination with labour authority to close notices.
  • SPOC for Notices response
  • Validation of employee PT deductions


Labour Welfare Fund (LWF)

  • Processing and maintain records of PAN India Half yearly and Yearly challan payments
  • SPOC for Notices response
  • Validation of employee LWF deductions


Data Management

  • Preparing monthly and periodical returns and registers and producing the same for internal and external audit. Filling online and off line returns and remittance on or before due date to various departments.
  • Creating MIS for reporting to Senior Management.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual payroll dashboards and reports and statements to appropriate internal stakeholders as required.


External stakeholder and outsourced services vendor management

  • Identify and empanel suitable consultants
  • Monitor and track the performance of external partners
  • Develop and build an effective network through industry contacts, association memberships and staff members.
