Lab technician

• Follows the laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling and processing test analysis
• Maintaining proper documents as per NABL standards and handle audit queries and ensure quick resolution of the same
• Adhere to the laboratorys quality control activities, instruments and procedural maintenance performed
• Maintain the proper sample quality and quantity related investigation
• Perform the tests as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) & confirm from prescription/customer about the tests to be performed.
• Assist the HOD - Pathology in performing the day-to-day activities & to ensure that the daily IQC (Internal Quality Check) is done as per schedule & daily records are being maintained as defined in the system.
• Ensure proper storage of all material & ensure proper disposal of waste there by maintaining 100% hygiene conditions at work.
• Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions
• Adhere to all safety precautions while handling the patient samples.
• Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility

Preparing daily and monthly MIS reports .

• To ensure patient satisfaction in respect of overall TAT & addressing/handling of patients/ nursing and doctors issues.
• To deliver results within time constraints even during high-volume environments.

• Maintaining confidentiality protocol with patient medical observation and their information.
• Supervise small group of junior lab technicians and lab interns.
• Assisted medical staff in performing tests for patients and for research purposes.

• Understand pregnancy & pediatric type of cases & issues
• Keep in constant liaison with the reception/sample collection for matters relating to the patients & carry any other tasks as instructed by the superiors
• Coordinate with cross functional team and ensure smooth delivery of services/ raising indents for procurement.
• Follow up with vendors for AMCs at regular intervals.
