• Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications of work involved before and while the works contract project is ongoing and update the work flow chart periodically.
• Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards of sub contractor
• Use computer-assisted engineering software like AutoCAD, GANTT Charts, MICROSOFT Project etc. to estimate and project the tasks and the products required for completion
• Support work flow with product procurement and testing
• Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects

DETAILED Roles and Responsibilities

• Understand Kerala State Electricity Board Work Tender requirements for HT/LT Aerial Bunched cables which involves Commissioning, Erection, Testing and propose workable solutions to meet the requirements and reach agreement with eligible contractors and define scope of the projects
• Develop process of work flow and analyze problems which may arise in future after site-visit with contractor
• Contact various vendors/suppliers to get estimates/offers, prepare techno-commercial comparison, and provide recommendation
• Develop and submit project plan, which has estimation and schedules of product costs, delay in procurement and weekly/monthly work expenses involved etc., beforehand at time of business meetings and accordingly change documentation in the Tender for final submission
• Coordinate and supervise, plan and execute all project activities ensuring good engineering, hygiene, and working practices and also ensure statutory / regulatory compliance always.
• Lead installation and commissioning of equipment and associated utilities
• Work with internal teams, site engineers, eligible contractors, and vendors for smooth operations

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering required
• Competent in the use of electrical engineering software
• Strong understanding of electrical works contracting processes
• 3+ years electrical engineering experience
