Responsibilities:

• Review the medical records
• Identify diagnoses and convert to ICD-10-CM codes by following CMS, HHS & client specific guidelines
• Flag reports/send queries to the provider for documentation deficiency

Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in HCC coding
• Strong knowledge in ICD-10-CM guidelines
• Strong knowledge in medical terminology, Anatomy, ICD-10-CM coding guidelines

Certification {Mandatory}

• Any one of the following coding certifications CPC, COC, CRC, CPC-P from AAPC CCS, CCS-P, CCA from AHIMA
