The Team
Data Technology and Analytics uses innovative tools to analyze vast amounts of data in order to proactively or reactively identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, cost optimization, risk mitigation and strategic advice for our clients. The group specializes in electronic data sourcing, optimization, analysis, interpretation, prediction and modelling.
We work as an extension of our Deloitte member firms’ analytics practices and provide dedicated support throughout the project lifecycle. Working on international assignments involving cross-border and cross-service line teams allows you to build your networks across the vast Global Deloitte network.
We also have an active international secondment program for our staff after they gain relevant experience, we believe this plays a crucial role in the overall career and personal development of our staff.
Work you’ll do
Our data analytics team works around short to medium term projects (typically between 2 weeks to 2 months); hence the emphasis is very different - it is driven more on the problem-solving front; forming a very different mindset to the given engagements.
The nature of the project demands logical decisions, making sure that business requirements are understood correctly - there is no room for error and the delivery is done as per timelines.
Overall, you will be responsible for development of the project tasks and quality- responsible for handling multiple engagements in individual capacity.
As an Assistant Manager you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects where you will:
- Support the member firm and/or the client through the model development process
- Work as part of a team to design, develop and test models taking into consideration various scenarios and sensitivities the model will be exposed to, in order to enhance our diverse range of clients’ analysis and decision-making process
- Work towards tight deadlines, adding value to complex & dynamic models, high profile and sensitive projects
- Be expected to bring more to the table and be innovative in developing client solutions as well as driving the DTA strategy forward
- Be required to have strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving
Qualifications
- Bachelors/ Master’s degree from a reputed institute in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar quantitative discipline
- 4+ years of overall professional IT experience
Skills Required
In order to be considered for the role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of analytics services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:
- ETL: IBM DataStage (must have)
- Database: SQL Server/ Oracle (must have)
- Reporting Tools: Tableau/ Power BI/ Qlik (good to have atleast one)
- Good understanding of Data warehousing concepts
- Good communication skills and attitude within team
- Familiar with any Agile process such as Scrum
- Automation using Python/ VBA (Good to have)
- Familiar with Database Architecture and Data Modelling (Good to have)
