Responsibilities

• Business Partnership: Effective collaboration across India, Redmond and other development centers with senior engineering leaders, HR & staffing partners, technical project leads, business managers, and cross-company finance and operational teams to influence the business results.
• Finance Rhythms of Business: Effectively lead the E+D rhythm of business for Close, Forecast, Resource Allocation, etc. in alignment with Corporate and MSIO timelines. Facilitate reviews with senior leaders in a timely manner. Identify and implement process improvements (design, efficiency) as needed.
• Financial Analytics and Insights: Analyze results to understand performance against plan/forecast. Monitor trends and key drivers, such as cost per head, attrition, recruiting velocity, and vendor investment against plan/forecast assumptions. Proactively recommend a course of action if risk is present.
• Investment Optimization: Work on Resource allocation framework for E+D Business and provide credible insights into Profit and Loss (P&L) optimization, identifying market opportunities, performance improvements, and achieving growth.
• Financial Reporting: Publish executive-grade monthly financial summary in a timely manner. Deliver periodical Resource Allocation reviews with senior leaders. Automate and improve reporting processes as much as possible within the confines of available tools.
• Controls and Compliance: Model a compliant culture through actions and decisions. Inspire others to share risks to compliance and take steps to mitigate.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 10+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
• 5+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
• 5+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA Finance Degree.
• Ability to collaborate with various cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead and prioritize across multiple and competing projects and deliverables.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Translate financial analysis and insights into meaningful and actionable business communications and recommendations.
• Strong competency in Excel and analyzing and structuring large data sets.
