The Position
You will join the APJC AWS Data Center Operations team. In this role you will work with regional AWS leadership based in Mumbai, India to lead financial controllership of AWS Data Center Operations and improve financial performance. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
This role’s responsibilities include:

• Serve as the key business partner working directly with regional AWS management and other internal stakeholders to drive business initiatives and identify, implement, and deliver key operational efficiencies. Supporting business partners at Amazon requires the ability to dissent, while building trust with your business partners.
• Monitor complex compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes to support the fast-growing AWS business.
• Manage and develop the financial planning and analysis processes.
• Develop new metrics and analysis that drive budgeting, forecasting and business decisions.
• Be an integral member in the monthly financial close process and drive ad-hoc projects and analysis.
• Support ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from senior management.
• Partner with procurement to drive costs out through negotiations and strategy

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1. Chartered Accountant (CA)/Master in Business Administration (MBA)
- 2. Minimum 5 years of finance experience, OR master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3. Advanced Excel modeling & analytical skills
- 4. Proven interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills

- 2. Able to work well with cross functional teams
- 3. Comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast paced and rapidly-changing environment
- 4. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems such (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
