Digital Imaging Manager, Amazon Imaging

As a Digital Imaging Manager, you’ll work with and support cross-functional teams in multiple geographies including the US, and lead a team that provides image auditing services to internal stakeholders. Auditing services include design and executing pre and post metric product baselines, ground-truth for machine learning and new image science, attribute tagging, image escalation deep dives, and direct enhancement/opportunity audits tied to Imaging goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in leading Image post-production teams, ideating and implementing productivity enhancements to streamline image-based workflows. You will use data to guide decisions, balance business prioritization with capacity planning, and dive deep to understand areas of standardization and optimization, translating findings into strategic plans.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Own critical work-streams for one or more Imaging programs/teams using defined SLA's.
• Identify and apply relevant tools and mechanisms to drive and measure progress.
• Report on the teams successes and contributions.
• Communicate status to all stakeholders including through regular business reviews, and escalate issues when required.
• Identify and solve ambiguous problems. In particular, identifying customer needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs.
• Plan team capacity using forecasting.
• Identify and propose automation and tooling improvements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of virtual asset operations/workflow management, preferably image, 3D, or video based.
• 3+ years of people management.
• Decision maker and complex problem solver; a system thinker who proactively gathers the right data from appropriate sources to make the right decisions.
• Excellent communicator both verbally and written with an ability to communicate at all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive).
• Bachelor’s Degree.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated high degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
• A passion for photography, fashion and design, with expertise in photo processes and video and/or 3D and other elevated imaging content.
• A passion for innovation and raising the bar in teams, technology and projects.
