Responsibilities
We are looking for a Program Manager (Country Engineering Lead) to amplify Azure expansion and growth in India. This role will partner closely with customers, engineering and infrastructure teams and subsidiary partners to programmatically remove engineering blockers (Capacity, Service SKU, DC Architecture etc) impacting the consumption of Azure services and thereby growth of Azure business in India. By connecting their technical and business experience with our customers’ vision and the ongoing work of our engineering product teams, the CEL will help ensure Azure is the most compelling solution for running tier one, mission critical workloads in India. It will require identifying current & upcoming market-relevant priorities, proactively planning and thinking ahead of time on the India DC region strategy to maximize Azure engineering and infrastructure investments; and enable key technologies for country-wide digital transformation in India.
The successful candidate must be customer obsessed, collaborative and outcome oriented. They must be able to apply solution-based thinking to solving problems, whilst creating a sustainable and scalable operational environment. Other responsibilities include capturing and signalling customer, country, and region-specific platform & data centre priorities to Engineering. Supporting the development of innovative cloud and hybrid constructs to support local needs and regulatory requirements. A strong grounding in the Indian cloud landscape, especially familiarity with key industry verticals such as BFSI, Manufacturing, Public sector, and/or digital natives and start-ups is highly desirable.
This position is located in Mumbai, Bangalore or New Delhi and some travel will be required (0 -25%)
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• 15+ years’ experience as an architect, consultant, Solution Sales or program manager in a technology driven field (Cloud and infrastructure experience)
• Handson experience working on Azure or any other Hyper Scaler Cloud
• Bachelors or higher education degree
• Demonstrated ability to drive large, complex programs and solutions that deliver high quality outcomes
• Excellent interpersonal, group dynamic and communication skills
• Established foundation in cloud principles and high technical aptitude
• Understanding of regional business and technology landscapes
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and independently within a locationally dispersed team
Preferred Qualifications
• 15+ years’ experience as an architect, consultant, Solution Sales or technical program manager
• Certification on Azure Infra/App Dev technologies
• Experience in cloud-scale solution architecture or software development
• Knowledge of the Azure platform and infrastructure
• Data centre infrastructure planning and architecture experience
• Depth of knowledge in either regional or industry specific cloud strategies
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
