Financial Controlling

• Ensure Accounting compliance to accounting standards and internal guidelines
• Review of Provisions and GL accounts for completeness
• Drive the Accounts Closing process
• Balance Sheet reviews – accuracy, completeness, ageing etc to ensure health of the Balance sheet.
• Ensure no major miss out in the area of accounting, ICOFR, business controls.
• Review and ensure Plant MIS is circulated with insights to support Plant Heads and SLT
• Review Opex estimates and track actuals against the estimate
• Review and analyse the reasons for variances and agree action plan with Plant Heads to control the Opex / CoPE etc.,

Business Partnering

• Be a thought partner to the Head of CTO/API Operations (GMO) and enable execution of business strategy.
• Ensure robust governance of all financial KPI’s that impact business outcomes.
• Support annual Operational excellence diagnostics with Spend analytics, benchmarking and thought starters on potential improvement areas. Brainstorming with GMO team in identifying improvement ideas, as a part of Operational Excellence Diagnostic workshop.
• Reviewing on monthly basis on the status of Opex , savings agreed and highlighting the gaps in order to improve the overall profitability.
• Discuss in Business Review forums like MRM, QRM etc on the profitability of the plants and factors driving the profitability.
• Preparation of P&L (including LE for rolling 12 months and Strat Plan period) and facilitating discussions on achieving / improving P&L targets.
• Have a thorough understanding of cost movements, in order to ensure GMO CTO/API operations achieve the TVC Savings targets.
• Aligning of Strategy Plan with Front end team
• Connect with Capacity team for capacity creation of products to meet Long term projections
• Co-ordinate with Plant & IPDO teams for CIP Programs to be built in Strategy Plan
• Aid Capex decisions through financial evaluation. Track progress and achievement of capex objectives
• Inventory optimization – enable decisions on optimization of inventory across the product value chain
• Support Network strategy projects and build the same in Strategy plan.

Budgets

• Lead and Support Plant Finance Heads in preparation of Operating Budgets / LEs of various functions
• Facilitate and Partnering with Mfg. Heads, Plant Heads & SLTs in the Planning Process of RMCs and Opex Budgets
• Review and incorporate various efficiencies in the Plan
• Identify the gaps vs Strategy Plan and address the bridging plan during Budgeting exercise.
• Discuss and agree with Plant Heads on the Opex latest estimates on a periodic basis.

Audits & Compliance

• Facilitate quarterly and annual audits by Statutory & Internal auditors
• Co-ordinate with Auditors and Plant Operations Teams for completion of audits
• Review of controls documented in RCM [SOX],
• Identify any process gaps and mitigate risks in timely manner
• Ensure no open action points beyond the due date.
• Mitigation of SOD gaps

Team Development & Capability Building

• Identify the training needs & career development of the team,
• Guide and mentor Team members
• Ensuring all the digital and other learning capabilities are improved.
