• To practice evidence based medicine awareness regarding patient {Investigation-(profile/reports/plan)}-{Treatment- (details)} {Drug Allergies/ patient history}
• To ensure Emergency Preparedness & Response Treatment/Procedure/Investigations
• To carry out CPR and other Emergency Procedures as per

hospital policy

• To ensure timely attention and intervention in case of any medical emergency.
• Provide a 24-hour medical service within the hospital
• Inform treating consultants of changes in medical condition of patients under observation in the emergency.
• To ensure MLC notification / documentation and statutory compliance.
• To ensure availability/ good-working condition of the Life saving Drugs and Equipment (In conjunction with BME and report delayed response).
• To ensure proper Bio Medical Waste Management.
• Complete the appropriate documentation and sign the appropriate forms.
• To provide a full report to Casualty Medical Officer commencing the next shift.
• To ensure proper attention to the patient & their attendants
• To proactive in terms of patient care (Planning and anticipation)
• To ensure that the Casualty has necessary facilities for rendering patient care
• To supervise all nursing staff and maintain discipline in the department
• To have complete orientation of NABH system of Hospital.
• To comply with the service quality Process & policies of the respective area.
• To attend EWS OPDs.
• To comply with patient safety policy.
• ER SOPs given by the Director-ER should be followed at all times.
• To co-ordinate with Head of Department on all matters relating to:

complaint re-dressal of patients.

• To take part in all regular CME’s.
