Amazon Food is seeking an analytical, creative and highly motivated Business Development Manager to lead acquisition and development of restaurants for food ordering on Amazon. This candidate will get a unique opportunity shape the foundations of a hyperlocal high frequency business on A.in.
Successful candidate for this high impact role should be a self-starter with a passion for independent thinking, creative problem-solving, have proven sales & account management skills, show strong ownership and commitment, have proven leadership experience in acquiring and growing large accounts, and bring relevant insights in sales and account management.
S/he will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly and independently, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the complete picture. This person will be able to effectively work within a small team, while rolling up their sleeves and getting stuff done – no detail will be too small and they'll never say "that's not my job". They’ll obsess over details, display structured thought process in fast-moving situations, embrace ambiguity, and deliver results. S/he will have a proven track record of influencing and working with multiple internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve their goals.
Key Job responsibilities include-
1. Working on acquiring large regional brands/local favorites/legendary outlets
2. Driving growth of acquired brands through joint business planning
3. Own end to end brand relationships and work as brands' advocate with other teams
4. Develop, test, and execute aggressive experiments/programs to drive brand acquisition and growth
5. Conduct in-depth analyses to determine experiment/program effectiveness and to continuously improving programs and site initiatives
About the team
Amazon Food is a new initiative where we are building a food delivery business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
-MBA from Tier 1 B-school with minimum 3-5 years of sales and account management experience
-Demonstrated ability of strategic problem solving and creating/building something from scratch
-Demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven decisions that lead to results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Past experience of scaling a service/product in the e-commerce space
-Past experience in digital and app marketing including paid search, paid display, SEO, content, paid social and onsite/on app
-Past experience in food tech or F&B industry
