Roles and Responsibilities

Design of Electrical and Sensor Systems for Machine and Process Automation including

- Control Panel Design - Concept Design, Component Selection, SLD, Detailed Schematics, General Arrangement, Bill of Material, Costing and Timeline Estimation, Reporting & Client Meetings

- Power Distribution and Emergency Shut Down Systems

- Parametric Control - temperature, pressure, flow, fluid level, concentrations

- Motion Control - VFD, DC Servo, DC Stepper, encoder, velocity / torque profiling,

- Automation Control - Custom Embedded Boards, PLC Modules, PID Controllers, SBCs and HMIs

- Robotics - electrical and sensor system for Autonomous Mobile Platforms

Desired Candidate Profile

* 2 to 5 years experience in electrical systems design

* Hands on experience in Autocad Electrical for detailed schematics and SLD design

* Hands on experience in Autocad 2D or Solidworks or Inventor for panel GA design

* Excellent Fundamentals

- electrical circuits and power/voltage/currents calculations

- capacitor and inductor circuits voltage/current/phase/power (reactive & active)/harmonics

- characteristic impedances, losses and EMI related to transmission lines (power & signal)

- working of electrical machines, and sensors

* Exposure to various power and control components such as

- circuit breakers (ACBs, MCCBs, MCBs), isolators, fuse and fuse holders, overload relays

- analog sensors (thermocouples, pressure sensors, mass flow sensors, RTDs, level sensor)

- motion sensors (encoders, LVDTs, tachometers, PIR sensors, microwave sensors)

- digital sensors (object sensors, counters, proximity/pressure/flow/level/limit switches)

- Actuators / Drives (AC Motor Drives, DC Motor Drives, Pneumatic Cylinders and Rotary)

* Knowledge of Load calculations, Short Circuit Current calculations for AC machines / bus bars

* Working skills on MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint

* Solidworks Electrical knowledge would be a Plus Point

* Working knowledge of relevant UL, IEC and ISI standards for circuit protection, cable sizing, panel design, etc. would be a Plus Point
