Roles and Responsibilities
Collets back to back reconciliations with Marketing.
Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis by brand by customer type
Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward
Ensures the timely completion of monthly ledger postings in appropriate head of account.
Prepares management need based MIS.
Verifies pre-procurement Approval and checks the financial viability of purchase of merchandise goods.
- Plan, manage and develop over all aspects of the company's tax process.
- Deliver a full range of tax services within a given period.
- Provide inventive tax planning and review intricate income tax returns.
- Implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
- Manage and support members of the tax team.
- Identify tax risks.
- Mentor accounting staff and review their performance.
- Manage tax provision and tax compliance process.
- Coordinate with tax audits and special tax-related projects.
- Maintain tax balances on general ledger.
- Prepare all tax papers on a regular basis.
- Review quarterly tax projections.
- Timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other business filings.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law development and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
- Provide help in minimizing tax risk in regards to acquisitions, mergers, and various other business dealings.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Assistant Manager -Costing Required Qualification: ICWA/CMA Experience : 6-10 years.
Desired Candidate Profile
SAP FICO and Knowledge on Cost Analysis Mandatory .
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 5 or more years of related experience relating to Costing
Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards
Ability to research, compile, analyse and interpret data
Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
CMA preferred
manufacturing industry background preferred
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
