Job Description: Accounts Trainee (Fresher with Tally Accounting Software Knowledge)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Trainee. This is an entry-level position suitable for a fresher who possesses working knowledge of Tally Accounting Software. As an Accounts Trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and develop a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Entry and Bookkeeping: Accurately enter financial transactions into the Tally Accounting Software, including invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries. Maintain and update general ledgers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial records.

2. Reconciliation: Assist in bank statement reconciliation, vendor and customer account reconciliation, and general ledger account reconciliation. Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

3. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Assist in analyzing financial data and providing recommendations based on the findings.

4. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist with accounts payable tasks, such as verifying invoices, matching purchase orders, processing payments, and maintaining vendor records. Support accounts receivable functions, including generating customer invoices, tracking payments, and resolving billing discrepancies.

5. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations. Assist in maintaining accurate and organized financial records, supporting documentation, and files.

6. Assist in Auditing: Support internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Participate in the audit process and assist in resolving any audit-related queries.

7. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, such as filing documents, answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and assisting with special projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping

- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices

- Excellent numerical and analytical skills

- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong organizational and time management abilities

- Adaptability and willingness to learn new concepts and tasks

- Integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous internship or part-time work experience in an accounting role

- Familiarity with other accounting software and tools

- Knowledge of taxation and financial reporting standards
