In Depth understanding of demand planning collaboration process with stakeholders in sales, commercial and other supply chain functions. This may include activities such as reviewing stat model, master data, and exception-based planning.
Should have handled a team of demand planners and responsible for team deliverables.
Derive SKU level forecasts by appropriate maintenance of demand history and tools.
Drive Phase-in Phase-out in forecasting process including promotional forecasting.
Use statistical forecasting methods, software tools such as SAP APO or other Demand Planning tools.
Experience in R Scripting - Explore data sets, identify & implement data transformations, model, visualize the results.
Explore data sets and identify data transformation and data quality needs for targeted applications.
Develop algorithms and predictive models to derive insights and business value from data.

Primary Skills

Test and validate algorithms and models using statistical and other techniques.
Perform exploratory, and targeted data analyses.
Ensure proper definition of data needs, evaluation of data quality, and critique appropriate statistical analyses; for critical projects, perform needed analyses.
Measurement and monitoring of Demand planning KPIs. Good conceptual understanding of drivers of demand planning KPIs such as MAPE, Bias, Forecast Value Add etc.
Measuring, tracking & reporting forecast accuracy and corrective actions to drive improved outputs.
Documenting key assumptions behind base, promotional and total signed off forecasts.
Provides final consensus forecast to Regional S&OP.
Management and ownership of demand planning master data.
Worked on Promotion and Innovation forecasting process.

Secondary Skills

Industry knowledge of Manufacturing and FMCG.
Hands on experience in SAP APO planning books (preferred).
Working knowledge of Tableau Platform, R - statistical package (preferred).
Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills.
Comprehensive skills in query/reporting tools, spreadsheet applications and presentations.
