Operations Manager

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience working in Data Science/Analytics, with 3 years of experience in a people management role.
• Experience in leading or supporting multiple projects.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with manufacturing, supply chain management, and/or fulfillment planning and execution.
• Experience in project management (e.g., project plans, timelines, and costs).
• Ability to navigate and influence cross-functional team stakeholders at executive levels.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate, and deliver solutions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

About the job

The Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver Google's physical infrastructure. As an Operations Manager, you are part of the Technical Operations team responsible for setting up and managing Google’s Data Center supply chain. You will ensure stable and scalable data feeds from your manufacturing partners, and transform that data into actionable reporting and insights for the supply chain. You will guide your manufacturing partners through the onboarding process, provide clear specifications, monitor their data, and resolve emerging issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple functional teams to support organizational growth (e.g., Software Tools and Data Engineers, Supply Chain Process Program Managers, Supply Resiliency Program Managers, etc.).
• Lead on deployment software Tools and Data System with manufacturing partners and maintain software Tool and Data System to support business continuity.
• Partner with cross-functional groups such as Test, Product, and Quality on developing Test and Quality data collection systems; develop security solutions for factory test machines, and improve data integrity and process.
• Act as a mentor help grow skills across the team for sustained success.
• Drive the planning/implementation of the programs and features and partner with test, product, and quality to establish goals, schedule, and milestones; manage dependencies and anticipate/resolve execution issues.
